2020-P Marsh-Billings Doubled Die Reverse / DDR

Dave42 Pillar of the Community United States 571 Posts	Posted 03/06/2023 5:28 pm Just found what I believe to be a DDR on a 2020-P Marsh-Billings quarter. It shows an extra branch between the two branches on the right of the tree, that does not appear on any of the other versions of this coin that I have. Please excuse the poor pictures. The coin is not as beat up as it seems, just bad lighting, too much zoom, and a bad phone. Report this Post to the Staff

Dearborn Moderator United States 95785 Posts	Posted 03/06/2023 8:45 pm I don't think it is a DDR, but maybe a new variety (extra branch) If it is doubling I cannot tell from which it was doubled from - it does not follow any contours of nearby branches. Maybe a die dent or something. (it reminds me of the extra leaf on the Wisconsin quarters.) Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
