Mkd1308 New Member United States 29 Posts	Posted 03/08/2023 12:25 am Hey everyone! So I have a couple questions that I'm sure you will be able to answer for me. Ok, please NO mean remarks. And I'm sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm still learning and there's so much to learn.. So what is it called when you can see the some of the reverse or obverse (outline or a couple letters ect..) on the opposite side? And is it considered an error or variety of can see with microscope? Also, I have a couple coins that look kinda like they have been sandblasted. Pics are posted. Is this a damaged planchette and from mint or something else? I try to find answers on my own online but there's conflicting information so I figured I'd ask u you guys . I am sorry if the pics are small. U May have to zoom in on them.. only Way could get correct size.. Report this Post to the Staff

I agree with ICutler but mention it might be "Progressive Indirect Design Transfer" that can happen with old dies (from Die Deterioration).
