Hey everyone! So I have a couple questions that I'm sure you will be able to answer for me. Ok, please NO mean remarks. And I'm sorry if these are stupid questions. I'm still learning and there's so much to learn.. So what is it called when you can see the some of the reverse or obverse (outline or a couple letters ect..) on the opposite side? And is it considered an error or variety of can see with microscope? Also, I have a couple coins that look kinda like they have been sandblasted. Pics are posted. Is this a damaged planchette and from mint or something else? I try to find answers on my own online but there's conflicting information so I figured I'd ask u you guys . I am sorry if the pics are small. U May have to zoom in on them.. only Way could get correct size..

What you describe could be a die clash but I can't tell anything from those pictures. Best bet would be to forget the microscope and just post clear close-up pictures of the whole coin.

Well-worded questions.

I agree with ICutler but mention it might be "Progressive Indirect Design Transfer" that can happen with old dies (from Die Deterioration).

Really unable to see much of anything with those photos. As suggested, try to obtain in focus photos of the coin and post those.

In future postings, please post entire photos of the whole coin, both sides and please, one coin per thread. It makes replying easier. Thanks.

Mkd1308,
When posting photos post one full coin pic of the obverse and one full coin pic of the reverse as well as one or two close ups where and when needed.
Also, please no photos of your scopes screen, use a memory card in your scope.
