Not my photos. Fields look fairly clean, devices not so much. Might be a struck through in the ear. Opinions on grade? Thanks for the input!

Photo is way too bright to see the surfaces. Appears to be MS something but thats the best I can do with the images shown.

My eyes see abrasions vs. a "struck-through" scenario. (Hard to tell from images provided, however.)
I would be very surprised (and disappointed) if this coin received a grade of MS-65 from a top-tier grading service.

I also see abrasions. I point out the struck through as a given. All I ask is you're grade, to assist and determine my aggressiveness, or lack there of, on my bids. I think this is a nice looking coin, worthy of a strong bid,,,JMHO. Thanks so much for your assistance.

I love the eye appeal of this coin, but you're a lot braver than me, as I buy coins already graded to reduce risk. But I pay for that in higher pricing versus a coin that's raw but in the same grade.
Happy Hunting!

I see a Beautifully Struck Coin that Has Tremendous Eye Appeal and While Wear is seen as a few abrasions and small Facial Gouges The coin IMO, would grade an MS-63+ to an MS 64 Thanks for sharing, I have Always Enjoyed these Classic Commemorative Awesome Beauties........

For me, there's too much glare to see the surface details clearly.

I let this one get away. I wasn't willing to risk it for the price it ended up selling for, which was $1,600.00, not including buyer fees.

Was this being sold by an ebay account called gold_standard_guy or something along those lines?

Quote: This article came out just a few days ago concerning stars being applied to 1922 Grant commemorative halves. This problem has been known for decades, but it's good to alert new generations of collectors to the situation. Thanks for the link!

Is there clashing on this coin? Looks possible around the nose and above "Half Dollar."

Quote: called gold_standard_guy No but it was one of their live internet auctions. Quote: a few days ago concerning stars being applied to 1922 Grant I had read about this some time ago. Thanks for the link. Quote: Is there clashing on this coin? Looks possible around the nose and above "Half Dollar." . I believe it is. A fair amount of the Grant with star have this, which is why I felt comfortable bidding on it. Not one of the PCGS no star has similar.
