Had some fun at the Edmonton Coin Show today and we opened the bent penny in the 2010 roll. Going to keep it for a keep sake. Enjoy the pics.

It is a cool coin Chad. I do worry now that it looks like a PMD coin while obviously the damage happened at the mint.

PSD would be the correct term, not PMD. Ptmp=nopost strike damage...PMD=post mint damage.

John I agree it is PSD, but now that it is out of the roll, there is no real way to differentiate it from PMD.

Do they roll these coins at the mint?

Often struck coins stick to the die and mint peeps scratch the coins when prying them off. Chad, is there any issue that you can see....i.e. collar deformation etc? Just a thought.....vicious pliers etc..... MM

My thought is that it was struck through something so nasty that it bent the coin. Look at the way the denticle border flares out / gets thick and then bends right at the obverse flaw. From that I think it happened during the strike.
