Hi, I know this year was a poor quality production and relatively few high grades with FS exist. Is it FS? worth having it graded? Thanks! Edited by CrackDie 03/13/2023 4:19 pm

IF FS, would need to grade 65 to make it worthwhile. Given obverse dings, don't think it will make it, given these pix.

I don't see how to reply to individual, just "to topic". Thanks, I agree that this coin might not be in MS state, so FS is not an option.

Quote: I don't see how to reply to individual, just "to topic". There is no way to reply to individuals. You can quote... How to QuoteIf you are using the Quick Reply box... 1. Type
2. Paste the text you want to quote
3. Then type
If you are using the Reply to Topic link... 1. Paste the text you want to quote 2. Highlight it 3. Then press the 'Insert Quote' button: So this... [qu ote]Quoted Text[/qu ote] Looks like this... Quote: Quoted Text

I'm thinking AU58--obverse has some very light wear and contact marks on most high points. Steps look promising but can't quite see enough, given the posted pics. Reverse finger print/palm print isn't helping. Coin would make a nice album hole filler until better comes along.

to the CCF I see a circulated coin grades at best mid-AU and definitely not worth the price to have a TPG examine and encapsulate.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

You have a '59 Denver Mint with appearance of FS, which is somewhat rare for a "D" nickel. You may also have some Machine Doubling (MD) on the "Trust". At first glance I was thinking "no" don't grade but, the more I look at it I think it may be worth it to you in the long run. It's a well struck coin and could surprise us. That way you'll know for sure the grade and value. It all boils down to whether you want to risk the fees.

nicer looking reverse than obverse, however I'm not a fan of fingerprints, grading range AU-55 to MS-63 shot at FS, need bettre pics to narrow that
