Before reading the comments, I chose Pennies (cents). I expected the poll to show that choice around 60~70%, but was not surprised to see it actually at 86%!

No votes for Dimes.

I chose Lincoln Cents also. The Statehood Quarters are probably a close second. With the 2009 US Territory quarters coming then in 2010 the America's Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Program, 25¢ coins may take the top spot.

FOR THE RECORD.....I AM "NOT" EXCITED ABOUT THE STATE PARKS QUARTERS !....

I wish they would make NIFC :
The Native Dollar coin
The State Parks Qtrs. (just give us a newly designed Washington qtr. for circulation !)
The Presidential Dollars
And the FRN !...

That would make me very happy.............

The Direct Ship rolls of Native American dollars are (followup:) were sold out, and banks didn't order them. Has anyone one this forum actually obtained these Dollars from a bank?! (We all know darn well that it was collectors and dealers who snagged up those Direct Ship rolls!)

eaglefoot had me send him a 2009 N.A. Dollar, just so he could have one that was not in a roll, that he could hold in his hand!

The economy and banks' existing stockpiles of Presidential (+ earlier 26.5mm) Dollars have made the 2009 Native American dollar pretty much "NIFC" by default.

I may have set a 'record' by spending 98 of them early this year! (even though the Direct Ship Rolls just became available again as of Mar. 18th!)

Almost a silly poll. Of course the PENNY is the most popular, collected, saved coin in the USA. Mostly due to they are only a penny and almost every kid can save pennies. I like to say PENNIES since it irritates so many that are stuck on using CENT.
Considering there are movies, songs and even on government sites they are called PENNIES. Try singing "Cents from Heaven".
So far in ove 60 years I've never met a coin collector that didn't collect PENNIES. A coin collector may like one or the other types of coins but still has to have a penny collection as well.
Now a good poll would be to see how many here do NOT collect them.
