Found a 1981 penny that has multiple lines running horizontally across Lincolns face. The lines aren't deep nor feel like they are etched into the coin itself, almost like they was flashed on to the surface, what are anyone's thoughts or ideas, also has anyone seen anything similar to what is happening to this coin? Does the lines add any sorta value or rarity to this coin?

@Lookatmy - all of your coins are posted in the classic errors & varieties forum and will not likely receive the expert attention you are seeking.

I suggest you use the 'Report this Post to the staff' link at the lower right corner and ask a Moderator to move all of them to the US Modern errors & varieties forum.

Then our experts can find them and reply accordingly.

Very cool looking. It would be nice to have clearer pics to evaluate. It's odd how it it kind of lines up with the memorial, from the reverse too. Almost has a lam look to it. LIBERTY kind of looks like there might be light trails coming off of it too. I SEE lots of things but nothing for sure. Maybe a little Pareidolia, on my part.
