I've been looking for the value of a German 1917 10 Pfennig. I can only find Km numbers and I don't have that catalog. So if any body who does have please tell me the km# for this coin? On the obverse it says "DEUISCHES REICH 10 Pfennig 1917" and on the reverse it is so worn that I can only see the remanents of an eagel facing the left with it's wings spread out.

Thanks for your help-
Sean

First thing to do is see if it sticks to a magnet. If so it is the Iron one which is KM#20. There are 6 different mintmarks for the 1917 worth about 20 cents in fine condition. (I assume with your description the grade is not that good)

If it doesn't stick then it is zinc which means it is either KM#25 if the eagle is surrounded by large beads ($90 in fine) or KM#26 if no beads (10 cents in fine)

Should be KM#20 then. It will have a mintmark of A,D,E,F,G or J which will tell you which mint it was from.
