1994 D Nickel - Damaged Or Mint Issue?

Hello friends, OK so I have never seen a nickel look like this. It obviously doesn't look in the best shape, but the coloring is what struck me as odd. I have nickels that are worn or have changed color, but this is so different than what I have seen before. It weighs 5 oz.

That is caused by environmental damage. Probably a
coin that has been buried and exposed to acidic soil.
