Let's see if I have this straight. You took a possibly very rare coin worth 10s of thousands of dollars [ not saying it is] and heated it?

I will not go more. Who told you the XRF is not accurate was wrong. you has XRF for 80-100 $ for just limited elements and others for accuracy at 2000$ till 20K.

The point for me with you here it is:
If you know the answers and you have all the knowledge about this coin, metallurgy, foreign coins struck by the US Mint and metallic test, WHY YOU COME HERE?

Anyone here answers with theirs opinion's and theirs's expertise and all together mean more then a millennium of coins knowledge. So reflect at your place in the coins community.

Other point for your coin: IN 1944 SAN FRANCISCO DO NOT STRIKE FOR HOLLAND.

Not sure why the comparison to the 25 Centstukken. Creates confusion. My references indicate Philly mint struck 40,000,000 25 Centstukken in 1944 for the Netherlands. Not the San Francisco mint.

San Francisco mint did produce some 64,040,000 10 Centstukken in 1944 for the Netherlands.

Wondering if you could provide a better detailed obverse and reverse image of your coin only? One that shows the details and color on its own.

At this point taking in account the wear, I'm wondering if it's been rub with mercury at some point. Thanks, Doug.

Thanks, silviosi, lI'm thinking one or the other made a typo.

You posted a PDF a month or two ago showing different figures for the Netherlands. Thanks, Doug.
