2009 D Jefferson Nickel, Possible Annealing Error? Opinions Please

CircSearch New Member United States 18 Posts	Posted 03/28/2023 10:15 am I pulled this 2009 Nickel from an uncirculated bank roll and it was surrounded by BU coins. I have come across a few of them going through 2009 D Nickel rolls and they are sporadic and stand out like a sore thumb. The pictures don't really show the darkness and blueish tone covering most of the coin. There are also copper tones streaks throughout. My best guess is the annealing process did not go as intended but I am not very knowledgeable on this subject. I would greatly appreciate any information, opinions, and knowledge please.
