After a lot of investigating, I believe the DDO designation is correct for this one. There are differences with the die markers that have me scratching my head though. The DC on the head is running E to W versus the LDS on coopercoins going N. Also the DC on the T of CENT is much larger on this one. Any thoughts folks? Thanks!!

The side-by-side pics were combined with photos taken by Bob Piazza and presented on coopercpoins.com.

Sorry, Not seeing the DDO 003 here, and the die cracks are not a match for it either. If you use the die cracks as a marker, they must match, as the DDO is on the same die., also matching die pairs (obverse and reverse) is not always reliable either as sometimes the mint switches the pairs out if one die wears out before the other.
Keep hunting. I'll check on VV to see if you have any matches.

However I do see some Die Deterioration on the date - some folks call this "The poor Man's DDO"

Variety Vista has 10 listings for DDO - you can check here as well

I'm good with the 'Poor Man's Doubled Die'. Nice example of Die Deterioration, plus the cracked skull. I have a few tubes of these. The reverse often shows die chips and die cracks.

I hear what you are saying Dearborn. I looked over what VV, Wexler & CONECA had and could not find an exact match either. I was on a thought that with greater wear to the die that the markers begin to alter. Hunting I shall go .
Thanks for the feedback again!
