I was at a coin show today and purchased the new 2023 RedBook for $20.00 even, no tax.
That works out to $14.80 US, cheaper than the book price of $17.95 US.
Is that the going price in the States or are they cheaper.

I'm seeing them on the web for around $16. Maybe it's because the 2024 edition will be out soon? Whitman says the release date is today.

Was it the last day of the show and/or near closing time? Long-distance dealers with heavy, bulky items (such as books) will often slash the price near show's end, so they don't have to pay to ship them back with them. It's cheaper for them if they sell at a loss, than if they don't sell at all and have to go back home with them taking up space and weight in the luggage.

The 2023 is last years issue, 2024 is scheduled to be released in 7 days or so. I already did a pre order on Amazon $17.55 'out the door' as they say.

The 2023 should have clearance prices with 2024 coming out soon.

Actually it was about 10 minutes after opening on the first day.
i think I was probably his first customer.
To me it doesn't matter if it is a 2023 or a 2024.
