Hey Everyone!
I found this quarter recently. Variety Vista currently lists 4 different doubled earing DDRs http://varietyvista.com/09f%20WQ%20...2P%20MA.htm). This quarter is not one of them though. It appears to have doubling to the right of the earing.

If it is flat, it is a contact mark. If it were a doubled earring, then it would be raised.

I agree with your assessment. The second round of pictures really helps to show that it's moved metal and not a doubling of the earing.
