Nice auction. Another forum I belong to had several people running these for a while. We called them "infoauctions". Probably been a year since I sold on ebay. One of my last listings pictured the reverse of a VDB Lincoln with the question "is it an S mintmark?" I claimed I was too stupid to turn it over and look. |

I still think I (or someone else who has not PROFITED from this line of thinking) should get some empty shotgun rolls and auction them off with the claim that "putting your coins in these rolls will make them more valuable."

I actually have a bunch of those. I came across them while cleaning out a storage cabinet (along with my really crappy battery-operated coin separator/roller). Want 'em? I'd do the auction but I'd probably be laughing too hard to type! |

xshift - If you're willing to dig them up and send me a few, I'd be willing to list them and turn the proceeds (if any) over to the forum. Heck, that way I could even shamelessly ask all you guys to shill for me.
Here's another idea: We can turn this into a group project! Everybody can make their suggestions as to the best way to word the ad!
PM me for my address if you can find the rolls and are willing to send them. Don't worry about trying to package them so that they don't get crushed! Crushed, mangled and dirty shotgun rolls are worth FAR MORE than those in pristine condition!

I have a bunch of 1/2" washers at home. Maybe you roll these too, I haven't searched them.....honest.

For our next project, I have slabs and inserts. Too bad I ripped the labels off them when I pried them apart..

The purpose of our forum is for teaching and learning. The last thing I want to see is More eBayers buying these specifically to resell in a deceiving manor. I do not think it to be in the best interest of our forum to contribute to someone else's deceptive auctions. |

Oh.. meant to ask: Do you really think anyone besides us would actually bid, considering the condition they would be in? You know there would be great, clear pictures of the mangled, driven-on, stomped, puppy-drooled-on shotgun rolls.. Nevermind, what was I thinking.. it IS ebay.. Edited by xshift
