This has been well-discussed here on the Forum. It's nice to see that the TPGs are finally taking some action to suppress the use of cert numbers on counterfeit slabs.

Thank you for the article link.
It would be helpful if NGC had pictures of all coins they certify AND if the pictures were of consistent quality. Many times their pictures are Under or overexposed.

One of the reasons why I am not keen on slabs.
Moreover slab has to be broken if it has been deemed necessary to investigate the coin.
Cannot return to seller, if the slab has been broken, and you are stuck with a coin that may be badly graded or fake.
