This will likely be my last addition to this set for a while, the 1913 T1 matte proof Buffalo nickel. This completes the PDS and proof type sets, but hopefully at some point I'll add a couple more varieties to the set. I probably overpaid a bit for this example, but the toning is really gorgeous in hand.

Very attractive example! One I'd likely be ok with spending a bit more on as well. Nice addition! Now to add the varieties! One of each type (DDO, DDR, overdate, RPM, OMM, 3 leg, 2 Feather, missing designer initial)..... maybe? You have a few big ones checked off already!

Thanks, Ty2020b! I definitely would eventually like to add more examples to my variety set, and I've sort of been doing what you mentioned (one of each type of variety) on these so far. The 1916 DDO is at the top of the want list but it may be a while...

Quote:The 1916 DDO is at the top of the want list but it may be a while... You and me both! Be careful though.. You start with a set, then a few varieties, next thing you know you're working on a complete major/minor/abraded variety set like myself. Down the rabbit hole we go.

Thanks, Dearborn and Coinfrog! Ty2020b, yep, there have been a number of rabbit holes I've gone down which started with me saying "Oh, I'll just pick up an example or two of those, just to have." . I have a heck of a lot of fun with all those, though!
