Not sure what's going on here but sort of looks like a D but also has the top of an S which I personally should never be in the question of is that a D or an S but that's just me. Would love some thoughts and feedback. Definite doubling (at least to me I guess) in the 6 and 9 as they have two curls.

@pne, first welcome to CCF. Second, as there are no known examples of D/S mint marks for this year, I don't think that is what you have here. More likely is that the mintmark took a small hit which has moved the metal around a bit. Here is a link to the varietyvista website to help you with your research:

pnewman,

OMM's stopped in 1955 so it can not be a D over S. Your mint mark took a hit from circulation. Also, please do not post photos of your scopes' screen, the quality is not good enough for us to help you. Use a memory card in your scope.

I can't really tell what you have given the poor quality of the images provided, they are far too pixelated and grainy to see any good details. While the images on your scope may look great to you, once you take a picture of the screen, the camera also picks up all the tiny pixels that makes up the image.
This is why we request that no screen shots get posted here.
Pleae if you can just post up the actual image that your scope provides, either by an SD card or direct hook-up to a computer or cell phone.

Your photos are way too pixelated to be of use. This is why we ask you not to use screen shots!
