PCGS increased prices not that long ago. It looks like ICCS has also put through a price increase. They are now up to $10/coin for bulk service and $16 for regular service. It was not that long ago that bulk prices were $6.50, which was a great bargain.

I wish I had 100 coins to send to ICCS for the bulk rate. Yeah, the struggle is real.......and that struggle is to name something that hasn't gone up the past couple of years.

The only problem with ICCS rates rising to the new levels .
They are now basically approaching the same price level as ANACS .
Unfortunately for ICCS , ANACS does a pretty good job of
grading Canadian coins and offers quick turnaround and
a nice hard holder that allows them to be sold on ebay.com
ICCS cannot be listed on .com as graded coins .
I just received my latest lot of Canada back from ICCS
58 coins regular service almost 1100 .00 Canadian !
In all fairness, they got back in 12 Business days .
I for one really think it is time for ICCS to start using hard
holders .

More evidence that suggests that you should learn to grade accurately (and investigate authenticity) for yourself.
That should be a vital part of your numismatic learning experience.

Dealers have to do this; they would go broke otherwise.

@ SEL..
Most dealers can grade accurately. The North American
market dictates that the highest prices result from selling
coins certified . We would leave a lot on the table if we didn't .

Heritage auctions slabbed coins for a good reason.

Are you really complaining about $10- $16 Canadian to grade a coin?

Have you looked at PCGS & NGC prices?
You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

I am not complaining about the prices versus PCGS and NGC, both of which I have used. What I am lamenting is the end of a fun little opportunity that used to exist and has now more or less been shut down. Since the start of the pandemic, I have bought a few hundred rolls of coins, searched them, sent the best ones to PCGS and sent the next best ones to ICCS. I was able to reliably pay for the rolls, the PCGS grading and the ICCS grading by selling off the ICCS graded coins. However, roll prices are going up, grading costs are going up, but the prices from the resulting ICCS coins are flattish (probably in part because I and others have been pumping out supply). So I think that this little pandemic pastime is likely nearly done for me. Also, the more you upgrade, the harder it gets to upgrade further.
