Definitely circulated, perhaps XF45 range if you can explain the strange object on E Pluribus on the reverse.

If that object is now part of the coin then it, plus the rim damage at K0 on the reverse, will likely cause the coin to receive a Details designation.

It's a common date/mm coin so value in this condition is mainly due to 90% silver content. That would be $1.83 as of today.

the coin exhibits some staining/discoloration that is indicative of the coin being cleaned at some point.

XF45 probably details

coin is worth a couple dollars mostly due to the silver which today is $1.83 which is what nickelsearcher stated

Jester recently posted a 20D standing liberty. it had a similar discoloration. he did an acetone soak on it and it cleaned up real nice. I would consider that for this coin just to eliminate if its protein based
