1987-D S Next To D? Can Notice A Faint S Next To D Mint Mark

sav9 New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 04/13/2023 10:14 am This is one of the oddest Lincoln Cents Ive come across, I was just checking rpm and on multiple spots can notice a faint D marking on the reverse exetremly hard to photograph but is visible when Looking in person, then I seen it. A faint S next to the D mint mark. Just wanting to know is this already found? And as always opinions, expert opinions, and thoughts welcome I did the best I could with the photos Note that all photos except the for the obverse and reverse first 2 pics are taken with a iphone using a magnifying glass. * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

sav9 New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 04/13/2023 10:26 am Well I'm looking at 2 of these showing the same faint S next to D also with faint D markings on the reverse I calls it like I sees it, I'm really new to this but this isn't Pareidolia. these markings are on both 1987D cents Report this Post to the Staff

I bet your brain can't see an S there at all now, but you can still clearly see the D (and magically, now there's an S at the tip of the 9). It's some plating bubbles, rub and Pareidolia.
