I am unsure exactly what I am looking at here and wanted to see if anyone knows if what I'm looking at is an error on this 1960 D large date penny. It appears to me to be a sideways "D" just above the 9 in 1960 but I am unsure. Has anyone see this or have any idea what it is I am looking at? Thanks in advance!

Looks like circulation damage or a bag mark.

I also have another 1960 D penny that I am curious if it may be a date over date error or some other type of error? I can't really tell but it looks like something is up with the date from what I can tell. Any thoughts on this one as well? Thanks!

Not an error, just a Die Chip on the 9.

Agree, fairly common for this era.

Just an aging die that a chip developed during the dies senior years. Not a plus for this coin.
