It could be from a tiny chip on the die post that formed the center of the letter D.

There is something in the center of the mint mark. It could be a small chip. Or this is the first of its kind.

If it is a circulation mark then you have a one of a kind item here! It is a die chip on the post then you have one of many dimes minted from that die with a similar, partially-filled mintmark. Unfortunately, in both cases it is just worth face value.

Given the images posted, I believe I'm seeing circulation damage. Unfortunately, I don't have the coin in-hand to turn it any which way under different lighting and use a range of magnification. I can only assess using the images above.
