Just found this roll searching today.

It's not in very good condition, but I'm pretty sure this is a DDO and its the 1972D 1DO-002-(LDS).

Chuck, don't think it is a 002, more like a 003 or 008. The doubling of the full strike appears to be on the left side of the stronger image on your coin and 002 is on the right. Hope I am describing this correctly. Have you looked at possible die markers has the condition more or less eliminated all of them? Coppercoins will probably ID quickly when he gets here. Great find.

I checked Chuck's site- looks like the 1972D- 1DO-002.

This is a 72D, not the 1972P.

Guess I should read the title more carefully or just maybe pay a little attention to the mint mark. Ya think, Duhhhhhh.
