I expect this one to be labeled as damaged by many. Though I do wonder if it could be the real deal, considering the other coins this came with.
Weight is 2.537g.

I'm going to climb a tree and go out in a limb and say that this coin was plated with a zinc layer. Only because the weight is heavier than what would be expected.

This came with others from within a collection that appear the same. Most weigh between 2.418 and 2.471g. Chose one at random to share and gather info. Just so happens it was the heaviest. What would expected weight be? Thanks

The parallel striations on the obverse (and the corresponding light streaks on the reverse) suggest to me that it may have been struck on an unplated zinc planchet, rather than being a post-mint plated or de-plated coin. The weight is still within tolerance, and the weight of the other examples in the 2.45g ballpark would seem about right.

The thin letters and weak strike indicate to
me that it was struck on a zinc planchet.

I agree that this cent was struck on an unplated zinc planchet, for all the reasons stated earlier.

The reverse also seems to show some original luster.
