Only 188k of these were minted. In AU, it would be worth around $5k. This is almost certainly a counterfeit, and I'm sure that others who know this series very well can give you specific diagnostics to prove that. The damaged areas around the face, stars, reverse legend, and rims are probably bad results of whatever process was used to make this.

Value in the $5-10k range if it was real, but it isn't. Looks like a bad casting job then plated.

Why is it that all of this persons posts' are of "suspicious" coins? Also, nearly all of his/her posts' have been deleted. Hmmmm. Suspicious on both ends.
Just sayin', my 2¢................

Three times wanted more information on the coin to learn how to spot a fake , instead of that you are trying to prove something

And instead of going to google putting up two images of coins, I would rather come here and believe other more experienced people rather than my own eyes. I'm trying to be as nice as possible on this forum (bad english , swearing alot to give some emotions in conversation because of short vocabulary) and you are here jumping on a 21y/o back because you are tripping something

@Alpha33 you're thinking of someone from Morocco. It's important that people feel like they can come here for grade and authentication before making a purchase, so let's not discourage them. @Salata a coin this valuable should be authenticated since there are so many counterfeits of them.

I stand corrected.
