This item came across my feed as a local news story describing the piece as a coin. Thus my interest. However I do see with opening the story that it has a loop for a medallion.

So not a coin, But what an odd piece It was the only pic with the news story. But it is a small town so I will dig deeper.
Any thoughts as to what it is?

@rill, can you please provide a link to the new story? There might be an additional clue. Thx.

Rub it three times...and make a wish? Let us know the results... but be careful, might only be able to wish one time
