First set of pictures are the seller's images. The second set are my lousy pictures taken in direct sunlight that seem to overexaggerate minor abrasions. Overall, I believe it is very clean for a double eagle. I do have a minor concern that the lines between the 4 of the date and the second star to the right could cause a details grade. I think it is more of cabinet friction as they are not easily seen. It was part of an auction of an old-time collection that had 140+ double eagles!
The luster is diminished enough that it might go AU+. It needs to go over MS62 for much of a premium over melt and it doesn't look Choice Mint State in these images. It does look genuine which is the main thing imo.
