I guess it's an opinion thing just like your favorite sport or team. Which detector is a good one to begin this quest with? A long time ago I had a White electronics and it worked well except for the pop tops from cans

Welcome to the forum!!

I'm sure one of our "detectors" will be with you shortly.

If you want to check it out, one of my friends is a Garrett dealer...

Hi w2tab

Welcome to the forum!!!

whites makes a couple of very good entry level detectors, as does Garretts.

Myself I use a whites, but I do know folks who use the Garretts Ace 250 that really do well with the machine!!

Hope to see some finds soon !!!

By the way !!! If your not finding pulltabs then you also will not find many different Jewelry Items and Nickles !!!

I currently have a POS detector but I visit a detector forum and many members highly recomend the Garretts Ace 250. There are many different high quality detctors it just depends on what your looking for and how much youve got to spend on one.

For the price and the features it would be tough to beat the Ace 250.
