with John1. As of March 7, 2022 this run hasn't been reported by the BEP. The highest reported serial number so far is A08719051*. This indicates the actual run size is probably at least 2,560,000 but could be a full 3.2 million. Its not rare or have anything special other than another star note with lots of friends out there... Find 5 and you can buy a Wendys $5 biggie bag. Here are the more recent production reports if you want to look it or others up https://www.bep.gov/currency/produc...tion-reportsRun Number: 3 Serial Number Range: A 06 400 001* A 09 600 001* Printed at DC facility in July 2020

I agree with John1 What is it that you agree with him on? Isn't this situation the same way the 2013 B duplicates were discovered? And the print run is an estimate.

Data entry anomalies occasionally occur at the BEP. I went month-by-month through four years of monthly reports, and it seems the BEP missed reporting the printing of these notes. Isn't the first time, won't be the last.

I'm not understanding why you keep posting screenshots of the BEP monthly reports from the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth @Fresh Find. Your replacement notes were printed at the Eastern Currency Facility in Washington DC.

@SteveInTampa I thought I was posting Washington on the BPE website it's the top one right? But these are also the only ones that I could find for bank A Boston But I do understand now that it's not an error. I got information from my currencycollection.com and it's been said that there has been over 2 million printed but I could not find that information on BPE site do you know where I can find this information? so I can be more informed next time.

Fresh Find, you go to the BEP reporting link https://www.bep.gov/currency/produc...tion-reports and click on say Dec 19 under Fiscal Year 2020. You will notice on that page it has Washington DC Facility, some others will say Western Currency Facility or have both in the report such as if you click the next one Jan 2020 under Fiscal Year 2020. Those two reports show the activity report for Bank Letter A $1 star notes at Washington DC Facility. That A is under column BANK LETTER. Normally its pretty clear on those reports or you can look them up as john1 did and then click the general info and other star note runs for 2017a $1 A district. However since the highest serial number found is A08719051* there is obviously other print runs (or longer) which usually would be the 3rd run as mentioned if each was 3,200,000 as I posted was estimated but with that other print run in Jan 2020 going from 3,200,001 to 3,450,000 its not currently able to be verified using the reports. There could be a small run as well but still have many or long runs to get that many notes regardless making it less rare in any case.

Isn't this situation the same way the 2013 B duplicates were discovered? That was a printing error by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in which a range of serial numbers that were printed on $1 banknotes at their Washington DC facility, were accidently printed again at their Fort Worth, TX facility. Normally, every bill of every denomination will have its own unique serial number, but this was not the case in the print runs of these 'New York' (B seal) Federal Reserve Notes. So there are dollar bills out there circulating with the same exact serial number as another dollar bill! The main difference between the two bills is a tiny indicator showing if it was printed in Fort Worth or in Washington DC. . More info if you are not familiar: The Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced Series 2013 $1 star notes in Washington, D.C., for the New York Federal Reserve District in October and November 2014 with serial numbers going from B00000001* to B00250000* in the first month and next from B03200001* to B09600000*. Not quite two years later, BEP Monthly Production Reports show, a mistake led to these same serial numbers being used again, this time at the Western Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, for another run of Series 2013 $1 star notes. It is not standard procedure for the same serial numbers to be repeated, even though the FW facility mark printed on Western Facility notes clearly distinguish them from ones printed in Washington. Although the printing mistake means millions of numbers are duplicated, the difficulty has been in finding a matching pair, which would consist of two of the following numbers, one each from Washington and Fort Worth: B00000001* to B00250000*, B03200001* to B06400000*, and B06400001* to B09600000*. In other words, even though 6.65 million sets are possible, it is so difficult to put them together that, thus far, reportedly only 11 pairs have been recorded. This information is from the Zegers/Winograd project, that attempted to list all the serial numbers submitted by collectors that they have in order to match them up. The name refers to collectors Ed Zegers of Maryland and Karol Winograd of Florida. The project has now spread widely on the internet — it was translated into Spanish, and then back into English by Google Translate and then posted on a Canadian website. It is now called Project2013B and is viewable by following the links at https://project2013b.blogspot.com/2...welcome.html
