numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11896 Posts	Posted 05/22/2023 2:28 pm I looked at this one many times and concluded that the coin was polished or whizzed. Maybe both. Coin looks spectacular at first sight, but then you notice that the raised LIBERTY on shield is not complete in what looks like an UNC coin. The giveaway for me is in the foot of liberty that looks completely flat and smooth. I wondered if it was due to striking issues, but it looked more likely to be a very well executed polishing job with precision using a small, fine dremel only in spots. The coin had 1 bidder for $300. I suspect others had the same suspicions I had. paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 05/22/2023 2:47 pm Heavy circular marks in the right reverse field and the scattered/broken luster is, to me, indicative of mechanical cleaning. This looks like a worked-over AU details coin to me. On the Twenty Cent Pieces LIBERTY is usually weak, even on high grade coins.
