This is an interesting turn of events. Can you post up nice large images of the coin cropped closely, both sides so we can have a good look at it?

The 1995 is definitely fake.

The top of the loops on the 9's are too thick and the 5 is tilted and the tail does not line up with the vertical bar.

Also the "waffled" pattern on the flag should be behind the entire area where there are stars.

It is also missing the 4th sunray.

Confirmed not authentic.

Do you have a magnet? A real Silver Eagle is 99.9% pure silver, which is NOT magnetic. A real Silver Eagle will not stick to a magnet. The fake Silver Eagles are EXTREMELY magnetic, and a real piece is not magnetic at all. If you see a Silver Eagle that weighs more (or less) than it should and it is also NOT magnetic, it is likely a steel core with a layer of silver over it. One troy ounce will ALWAYS be 31.103 grams.

Sure looks fake. Does the slab have PCGS lettering embedded in lower right corner?

Never mind, I can see on the 1st image there is no PCGS on the holder.

Interesting, didn't think about authenticity, but looking at the coin, it's pretty obvious. Guess that's why it sold for less than a raw ASE.

That's truly unfortunate you got a fake, and in a fake PCGS holder, to boot.

The bottom part of the R does look very weak.
