I hope everyone had a safe holiday and remembered to say "Thanks!" in some fashion to those that made the ultimate sacrifice.!

Thank You, COMMEMS,

Our Military had Heroes, They were the Men We called upon, They answered, All gave Some, While Some gave Their All.

To Our Fallen Heroes, Thank You..........

John,

I am seeing there is a Veteran's Day, To Honor the Living, Who once served, Memorial Day to Honor those who Died in service to Our Nation, Armed Forces Day, Honors those who are serving in the Services.

I Apologize for Posting on Your Post. I Remember the Difference......

My Father served in the USMC , Volunteered on His 21st Birthday, Infantry, Korea, 1951-53, Re-Enlisted in 1965, U S Navy, .

My Younger ( little ) Brother, Served in the U S Navy Too, They are Deceased, They did NOT pass while Serving, I Always treated Days like Memorial Day to Honor, Once Again, Those in My Family Who have Served and are Not Living........... Again, I Recognize the Loss of a Loved One, My Friend...

Thanks for the post commems.

My dad was a WWII vet, served in the Pacific with UDT Team #4 and passed away 6 years ago at age 92. I miss him every day.

I also like to remember the "Gold Star" families - surviving family of those who perished serving their country. When a son, daughter, wife, husband, father or mother loses a loved one, a part of them dies along with the fallen.

I am happy to see this recognized more and more on Memorial Day. Some of the stories are heartbreaking.
