So I feel I have this 1979 S but not sure if its a D or possibly a S/D. My reasoning from my personal research and pictures is the top of the first 9 on the S mint sits slightly above the 1. As on the D mint they are even with each other. Also on the S mint the last 9 sits slightly higher then the 7. On the D mint the 7 and 9 are even with each other as well.

Your 1st pic is a D mint. OMMs stopped in 1955 so no D/S.
