I would like to see some unusual trades or finds that any of you have had. Or- a valuable find made by an acquaintance or friend,. I have and unusual find I will relate here- Not big big money but a abit unusual and fun. I was using my roto-tiller in a new garden spot vacant lot next door I turned up a 1900-S Barber dime- the matrix of dry dirt had protected it nicely and it was an EF. I knew a fellow who collected Barber dimes- I did not- When at the coin club he learned of my find, he said, "Dewey, I need that coin; Would you accept a Barber Half in Au for it? With no second thought, I said sure. I still have the 1900-S Barber in AU- Coin World lists it at 450.00 IN AU-- (Not that it would bring that) but A nice trade. I have done a lot of trading- more to follow- but first, I would like to hear of some of yours. habiru001

Well Rick, I didn't mean for it to be tough- (just unusual) yours is that. I too have come across tokens- I think my most unusual one is a fractional token good for 6 1/2 cents in trade at a Tonopah Nevada Bar. I still have the coin- but not sure where I have it stashed- it is brass and in very nice shape.
