My grandma had a bunch of 1943's and I pulled a few which varied in color. All can be magnetized.

The one on top is really neat and stands out.

Are any of these unique or wrong planchet?

I think what you're seeing is normal variations in toning and corrosion in the '43 zinc-plated steel cents. Others will chime in to give their opinions.

Yes, normal tonal variations. I've gone through thousands of steel cents over many decades. The variation is quite strong with this one.

The first has just escaped the ravages of time better than most steelies.

In case you or anyone else did not know... The 1943 cents were made with zinc plated steel instead of the normal bronze (95% copper). Steel was not the best idea and you are seeing is what the environment could do to them. Copper returned to the cent in 1944.

from z nice zinc color to a rust color - these coins are steel and will rust when the zinc plating wears off.

If they are magnetic, they are normal 1943 steelies. The top one in your picture is very nice, however.
And welcome to the CCF, codexatlanticus!
