Morgans Dad Pillar of the Community United States 5662 Posts	Posted 12/11/2023 2:28 pm Hello My Friend, In My Mind, Nomenclature is Just As Important as Anything Else in The Coin Collecting World, Present, Past, etc. The History of The American Silver Eagles Program is Drenched with Flavor of Finishes, I as You Know, Collect the Series and Being Knowledge is Key( here or Anywhere ) I Inquired On THIS site, to Fellow ASE Collectors Asking What Their Suggestion is On an Accurate, Knowledgeable, Tell All Reference They used and would recommend for that Series. The Results were two choices, I decided to upgrade My Personal Library and Bought , John M. Mercanti's Book American Silver Eagles, A Guide to The U S Bullion Program. He Was The Chief Engraver, (ret) at The U S Mint, The Designer of The ASE's Eagle Reverse....He was Among Many Greats, imo, during his Career There. Check it out.... Oh, My Reason for taking the approach I did, In THAT book Page 93, He describes the 20TH Anniversary Two coin sets, as One with the New Finish Burnished ( UNCIRCULATED in mint jargon ).... In that Light, I am an Ole School Coin Collector, Use the Terms You Choose, The Finish on The ASE's , I Love Best, will Always be The Uncirculated Finish, and called Such...... The American Silver Eagle is by far my favorite coin to collect and it represents one quarter of my silver coin collection. Even though I have sets of Proof, Uncirculated and I'm finishing up Certified I will still continue to buy ASEs. I have several 2024s in Certified and BU ordered and they will ship in early January. I'm very happy to be part of the group of members here who collect this beautiful silver coin.
