So I had some slack time (no pennies to search) and browsed my Quarters to see If I could discover some mint state prospects. I found a good-looking Bicentennial Washington quarter with nice fields and a nice drummer boy reverse. Lo and behold It was struck by a clash die set. Look to the left of Washington where you can see the marks on the left rim in the close-up photo. Still a nice quarter so let me know your thoughts and regards.

Collar clash.Try to find one where the drum is "fully" struck.

Yes a collar clash, sorry I was told the marks on the rim come from the hammer Die. g
