Indications of both MD and DDD - certainly not DDR. C'mon, Clwang.

@coinfrog, C'mon, I'm still in my first year of learning, why do the experts criticize us when they should be helping us!

Coinfrog, I can definitely see evidence of push doubling—the material of the letters has been cut into, producing the doubling by reducing the devices. The doubling is directional.

Where is the evidence of DDD? I thought the main indicators for Die Deterioration Doubling were shallower and wider devices (partly as a result of heavy die polishing) and an outline on multiple sides of the letters, with no clear direction.

We are here to teach what we learned from the others that came before us, eventually you will need to step up and try to help yourself too.
Sometimes I feel that you think we are only here to classify your collection instead of learning from what was already given (information) to you thus far.

Anyway - This is MD mixed with DDD and circulation flattening.

@clw, after a couple hundred posts here, you'll find that folks start to expect you to be able to identify more things on your own. The frog can be a bit rough around the edges, but I firmly believe that they (and everyone else here) wants you to succeed.

As to your coin, remember that MD causes step-like doubling that serves to reduce the width of the devices. This is nicely visible on the E and R of AMERICA and is distinct from the doubling evident on the two known DDOs:

Can someone spell out where the DDD is apparent? I see a late die state apparent on Liberty and E Pluribus Unum, but I'm missing the doubling from Die Deterioration. I'm still grinding slowly through the differences between push doubling and DDD.
