Hi all,
Tis is a 14-16 mm diam. bronze coin (I can not provide a weight) I could not identify so far.
On the front there seems to be an eagle at rest to right (it is hard to see...) with a sort of crescent under beak. Inside the crescent should be a star (?).
On thee obverse is a male head to the right. It could be Zeus or Hephaestus, but I'm not sure. A clear D appears over the head (DIOS ?).
All the stuff remind me some Bruttium coin, perhaps from Kroton.

Here follow a 3 images per face, with different focus.

Novicius: On my example, check out the dot at the end of the star point just between where the point ends and the crescent starts. There are other stray pellets as well. But any letters are really hard to pull out. I have seen a lot of Septimius Severus and a few others with crescents and stars from that city, so I am probably biased. But seeing a lot of them might mean the coin is common enough to be a provincial like this.
