Is that cross symbol of kingdom of Sicily ? it is lightweight , about 2 cm.

I think this style of cross was used many places in the late medieval to early modern era (sometimes called cross with anchor tips, croix ancree in French). And yes, I think Italian STates is a good place to look.

The design on the other side is unusual and should help, though I don't recognize it.
