Just picked up for my Dansco. What do ya think. The pictures don't really do justice to this coin. The wheat lines are sharp. swcoin.ecrater.com

You keep it up vermontensium, and you'll catch up to Bad Thad. I'll also say ..VF-35.. nice early Lincoln.

This looks like a below average obverse strike, very common on early Lincolns from the branch mints. The color is good and it looks very original. The obverse is tricky to grade because of the strike.
Obverse has a gouge in Abe's jaw and a rim ding at 10:00. Reverse is stronger with full details and no major problems. Notwithstanding any damage, I'd grade this coin VF35 Obverse and EF45 Reverse.
I'd go XF40 overall - nice pick up!

Thanks. In hand this coin is so nice. The coin is a little darker in hand and the obverse has a very nice strike. I am going to try to get a little better pics up. Under a loupe, the wheat lines are insane. The reverse strike is huge.

The 1925 branch mint coins are normally HORRIBLE! This coin is EXCEPTIONAL, it's an EDS coin clean of hits and problems. The dies are sharp, but the strike is typically weak. There's no doubt in my mind this is at bare minimum an EF-40 coin by any TPG if the grader takes into account the strike weakness typical of the 1925 branch mints , however, I would say it's AU-50 by the pictures. Congrats, that's one nice coin!

Thanks Thad! I purchased this coin from a dealer that stated that this was the most bold 25-S he has ever seen. I took his word on that and after checking out the pics, bidding on and winning, examining, I concurred. It is nice and thanks for your input!
