There's only 3 2005D DDRs listed on Wexler. The other 2 sites has none.
This one looks like it matches up with WDDR-001. Except it seems like it's showing more than there's. With the setup I use I can't catch everything in one angle/lighting.

I'm not sure if the markers match.

Question.
(IF) it has more showing. Would it be considered an earlier stage?

Nice find RobO411! It does look like WDDR-001 to me. It might be in a different die stage, if you can't find the die markers.

This is a tough one here. I'm not too sure, I always have trouble navigating Wexler's site, but I'll try to see if there are any matches.

It's hard to tell if mine has the dot below #5. I can't tell what they're pointing out above the N of UNITED.

I wonder if circulation wear wore away the die markers?

Very cool find, Rob! There are so many things that could affect both the listed coin and your coin that would possibly affect the look of the doubling and the markers and this being a zincoln does not help. This looks like a match to Wexler's 001 and would mark it as such, this will allow you to continue searching.

That being said, I went through a time when I just had to know for sure but have moved past this, because I would let it consume so much time. If it's important to you though, maybe look for other markers, not necessarily pointed out in the listing. Look at protected areas, like inside letters and numbers, possible scratches and gouges.

I think you're right about circulation wear. Sorta almost see the dot below the 5.
