What's going on with this coin?
I can't make it the date very well and Def can't tell what mint mark.
Is it of value or no?

It's a 1979 D Jefferson nickel. It's been damaged after it left the U.S Mint. Probably Environmental Damage.

Much circulation wear plus exposure to a corrosive environment. Certainly not a 1919 Buffalo nickel.
