Could be a Struck Through error or glue. Try giving it a soak in 100% pure Acetone.

Seem to be foreign substances on the coin.

Yes it looks like just PMD (major dent/gouge) at the S in TRUST. It does look like some substance stuck to the coin on at WE, but I am thinking that is just PMD as well. Something about your photos makes it look like glue or something stuck to it.

I am thinking struck through or a lamination. Is it also an RPM,I might be seeing a split serif? 100% acetone soak is your first step.

with John1 lamination from the D in god to the S in trust. Not so sure about an RPM though.

Acetone is your friend. Too, there may be a lamination issue present, and can't rule out a strike-through. Would love to see the coin in-hand--but that's not happening.

Cujohn,
Take a look at the upper left side of the mint mark.
