Since it is incuse, it could be struck through a small wafer of metal debris.

It looks indented,so struck through debris. If it was raised it would be a die chip. Also,a few too many pics.

I have a 2006 p North Dakota quarter that shows the same characteristics as yours. At first I thought strike thru but I think I've spotted a small lamination.

Ive struggled to get my lighting right to show the surface condition. I'll do my best to get that post up today.

your pictures are fine, but usually we just post up the obverse, reverse, and the area of concern at first, then if needed later more images can be added. It makes it easier to get to responding to your cin faster and easier sometimes.

But, I agree that this is a struck through a 'something'.

i know I posted this coin last year but I have not been active on this site in quite some time and didnt remember the the replies and I'm not all that savvy with a computer. Didnt know it was a crime to repost a coin.SORRY. I do know there are a lot of the same folks that does almost ALLLLLL the replying and that some just like to quickly respond with what seems like disdain in their comment. I tried to respond on the post but I guess it wasnt allowed since it was locked (again not all that computer savvy) and I wasnt able to respond to the original post.

The new one you started was locked and as jbuck stated combined with this one to have all comments in one location.
