2016 D cent on the obverse is Lincolns ear doubled or what is that little dot behind his ear about halfway up it and on the date and mint mark is it a DDD

Not seeing any doubling on the ear. I also see some staining going on as well.

Not seeing a match.... https://doubleddie.com/2499137.html .... My guess what you're seeing behind Lincolns ear is a die chip.

Maybe someone can gently correct me if I'm wrong, but I was thinking that it was the lowest part of the ear (i.e. the earlobe) which most typically shows doubling. Thx.

My first thought when seeing the title of the post would be another Earlobe Doubling, until you read their question.
