Just got $60 in Ikes at face from my local bank, and this was easily the best find of the bunch. Also got a couple very minor doubled dies that I'm debating keeping or tossing back (cost of ownership is a lot higher when each coin is a buck!).

Thanks Errers! Yeah, I was already excited just to get $60 of Ikes for face, but finding a really nice variety in them makes it a great little score!

very nice find on this type 2 reverse - according to PCGS only about 40,000 are presumed to have survived that can be properly attributed (out of approximately 100,000 struck).

Thanks guys!

@Silviosi look on variety vista under the "design varieties" tab on the Eisenhower dollars page, and you can find a list of all design variety combinations that are known to exist, color coded by rarity (In Wiles' experience. He isn't always correct, but he's generally pretty good).

Silvio, if you go back to the link in my post from PCGS, they also give approximate values for the different types.

Very nice coin to find. =)

You must have a cool bank if they stock Ike dollars.

@Brandmeister they don't "stock" them exactly, since I don't think any banks are able to order them anymore, but many banks will have a few (or sometimes many) lying around that were cashed in by customers. I always ask the tellers if they have any large dollar coins
