Hello CCF.. I'm still going through my 43 steel cents and need help on this one. I'm still confused about die cracks verses lamination crack after posting a couple of other ones recently. I was corrected and told that steel cents do have a zinc plating.. IMO, these are die cracks because they do go all the way to a device even though not to the rim as shown. Note that the cracks are "doubled" at one point. The cracks are definitely raised.. It is not listed on Cuds On Coins. There is some of the channeling as seen on a lot of 1940's cents. Thanks for your help.

The one that starts in the center of the 'C' of cents and goes south, does not look like a crack. Notice how it stops at the 'N' of United, then picks back up on the other side. It is also has a twin trail alongside it, I think it is a scratch or gouge on the die which piled up metal on both sides of it.
The others are nice die cracks.
And Great pictures of all of these.

Thanks.. I appreciate the comments. Reminds me of the old cliche about a blind hog sometimes finding an acorn.

All but the bit around the lips are die clash marks, and fairly strong ones.

Thanks Tropicalbats... Guess I didn't even know about a die clash. I'll spend some time researching the subject. Makecents posted this link.... https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.error-ref.com/retouching-of-design-elements/ about "channeling" and that's why I mentioned the area around the neck and lips. Really appreciate your input.
