I'm not surprised that you like that one, jbuck. I ordered a few more Ike Silver Dollars yesterday.

There was an episode of "Timeless", a time travel series, that involved a college-age JFK being transported to the future. A half dollar is shown showing the image of Richard Nixon, indicating that it was he instead of Kennedy that won the election and was killed. Of course our heroes complete their task and restore JFK to his rightful place and history is corrected.

I remember that episode. Timeless was a good show! I am glad they were able to end the series properly and tie it all back to the beginning.

I recall that Fringe had alternate coins that existed in the parallel world. One I have found was a large dollar with Nixon (S2.E15 "Jacksonville" and S2.E22 "Over There: Part I"), and I believe another was a half dollar without Kennedy because he was never killed. I need to dig deeper...

In the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the money Charlie picks up out of the street to buy his golden ticket-winning Wonka bar appears to be a Peace dollar.

That was the Olson Specimen.

"Look at this, George. You ever seen a silver dollar?
"Would you believe when I was 18, I had a silver dollar collection?
"You know, I couldn't bring myself to spend one of these. I got some kind of a... phobia.
"I bet that collection would be worth a lot of money today."

In an episode of The Munsters, Herman and Grandpa discover buried treasure in their back yard. They instantly become suspicious of each other, thinking that the other is going to try to steal it. This image is when Herman opens the treasure chest to look at the loot only to find Grandpa hiding inside.

Nice!

It has been a long time since I watched that show. According to my Roku, it is on Peacock. I might need to put it on my binge list.

In "The Rock", inmate John Mason (Sean Connery) uses a 1974 quarter to score and break through a one-way window at FBI headquarters.
